LOAN COUPONS

Function
To print loan payment coupons as an aid for timely repayment.


Operating Instructions

Loan Number            
Select the appropriate loan number from the combo box, or enter manually. 

Start with payment due 
This field will default to today’s date.  A different date may be selected by using the calendar. 

Number of coupons to print 
Enter the number of coupons desired.  

Include late fees?      
If a late fee has been accurately recorded within the Loan Master file, checking this option will include it on the coupons. 

Things You Should Know

• Coupons may be printed in any number from one to the full term of the loan.  They will print three coupons to a standard 8 ½ by 11 page.  Printing coupons will have no impact on the database. 
• The accuracy of coupon production is determined by the completeness and accuracy of the data within the Loan Master file.  
• If printing coupons for a new loan with no recorded activity, “Start with payment due” is automatically compared to the “1st payment due” within the Loan Master file.  If the dates do not correspond, opportunity will be given to choose which date is to be used.  Selecting “Yes” results in coupons printing using the “1st payment due” from the Loan Master file.  Selecting “No” results in the coupons printing with the date as entered into the “Start with payment due” field. 
• If printing coupons for a loan with recorded activity, “Start with payment due” is automatically compared to the “next payment due” from the most recently recorded loan activity.  If the dates do not correspond, opportunity will be given to choose which date is to be used.  Selecting “Yes” results in coupons printing using the “next payment due” from Loan Activity.  Selecting “No” results in the coupons printing with the date as entered into the “Start with payment due” field. 
• Optional Late Fee:  Loan Master files allow varied late fees by containing fields to hold both the late fee amount and the number of days that a payment must be delinquent in order to be considered “late”.  If the box beside “Include late fee?” is checked, accurate and complete information within the pertinent fields in the Loan Master file is required to produce valid late fee information when the coupons are prepared. 
• If you wish to edit the “remit to” portion of the coupon, select Tools, Organization and change as desired. 
• Coupons will not print with due dates beyond the Maturity Date in the Loan Master file.
