Function
To provide opportunity to record miscellaneous notes related to a specific loan. Operating Instructions From the GMS-RLSS Main Menu, select Features, Conversations. This feature may also be selected from Loan Master files and Loan Activity by clicking on the appropriate icon on the top task bar. Conversation Tab Loan Number Enter the loan number or select the appropriate loan from the combo box. Conversation # An automatic numbering system to track conversations as they are entered. Date Although the screen defaults to “today’s date” any date may be selected from the calendar. Conversation Enter the information to be retained, limited to 255 characters. Print conversations by date range Should you wish to view conversations for a selected date range, select this option followed by entering the start and end dates. Include all loans Selecting this option will print conversations that have been entered for all loans rather than just the loan currently appearing on the screen. Activity Alert One conversation per loan may be flagged as an Activity Alert. When checked, this one conversation will appear at the bottom of the Loan Master and Loan Activity screens. It may be edited and resaved as needed. Special Icons Attach/Retrieve Files Documents such as Excel, Word or Pdf files may be named and attached to the conversation by selecting the location they reside on your computer or file server. Be sure to Save after doing this. An icon will appear in the lower right corner of your Conversation screen once you have attached a document. Clicking on this icon will allow you to view your document(s). You may then later retrieve them by selecting from the list. To delete the attached document, select it from the list and tap the delete key on your keyboard. Screen Alert Setup tab If you enter a number of months here, when accessing a loan through the Loan Master or Loan Activity screen that has had a conversation entered within that timeframe, the most current conversation will appear at the bottom of the screen.
